Digital Development

The IPC Digital Graduate Scheme has been developed in order to secure digital talent and provide development opportunities and experience to meet our digital needs. 


The scheme offers successful candidates an 18-month fixed term contract, after which time the objective is to then secure a suitable permanent (or find you a another fixed term contract role) within IPC's Digital team, dependent on business requirements at that time.


Whilst on the Graduate scheme, successful candidates are:

 

  • placed in three distinct areas of IPC Digital for six months at a time to develop front and back end development experience. They are also exposed to development protocols (the Agile methodology), testing and quality assurance.

 

  • assigned a mentor to provide non-managerial support and guidance

 

  • asked to complete a personal development plan (PDP) with his/her manager to be reviewed after each placement. The PDP will include business and development objectives for each placement and on the job and formal development activities with agreed timelines

 

  • required to give a short summary of achievements/key learnings to the digital development director to ensure the graduate has visibility with IPC Digital senior management.

 

Experience/Skill requirements

To be considered, candidates need to have completed a Computing related degree, or demonstrate the equivalent knowledge. Exceptional candidates working towards a Computer related degree will be considered.
