The NME today announces the final round of categories for the NME Awards 2012 which will be returning to London's most legendary music venue, O2 Academy Brixton on 29 February, 2012.
A full list of award categories is now online at www.nme.com/awards. Boxfresh will support the Best New Band category for the second consecutive year, a category which represents an ideal environment for nurturing talent, with nominees going on to achieve great success.
With other hotly contested categories such as Best British Band and Best Live Band supported by Carling now live, music fans can now head to www.nme.com/awards/vote to have their say on who should be taking away all 20 of the public voted trophies at the prestigious NME Awards ceremony.

Best Small Festival (last year's winner: RockNess)
Best TV Show (last year's winner: Skins)
Best Music Film (a new award for fans' favourite music-related movie)
Best Film (last year's winner: Inception)
Best Book (last year's winner: John Lydon - Mr Rotten's Scrapbook)
Best Live Band supported by Carling (last year's winner: Biffy Clyro)
Best Track (last year's winner: Foals - 'Spanish Sahara')
Best Album (last year's winner: Arcade Fire - 'The Suburbs')
Worst Album (last year's winner: Justin Bieber - 'My World 2.0')
Hero of the Year (last year's winner: Lady Gaga)
Villain of the Year (last year's winner: David Cameron)
Best Album Artwork (last year's winner: Klaxons - 'Surfing The Void')
Most Stylish (last year's winner: Brand Flowers)
Least Stylish (last year's winner: Justin Bieber)

NME editor Krissi Murison says: "Voted for by music fans themselves, last year saw over 15 million votes cast with people giving their verdict on who rocked the last 12 months, and with three new categories ('Music Moment of The Year', 'Best Music Film' and 'Best Re-issue') this year is set to smash those records even further."
