Fashion and beauty bible InStyle last night revealed the winners of its 13th Best Beauty Buys Awards, the Oscars of the beauty industry.

Presented by InStyle editor Eilidh MacAskill and model Daisy Lowe, the evening celebrated this annual list of 100 dream products, as voted by 182 industry experts.

Special awards on the night went to the nine entrants to the prestigious Hall of Fame, which honours products that have won their categories for three consecutive years for the first time. Joining the ranks are:

· Original SPF15 Foundation, BareMinerals – Best Mineral Base

· Lipglass, MAC – Best Lipgloss

· Eye Brows, MAC – Best Brow Filler

· Surf Spray, Bumble and Bumble – Best Texturiser

InStyle also celebrated the four most recognised members of the beauty industry, in the hair, make-up, nail and skincare categories. This year’s winners are:

· Luke Hersheson – Hair

· Sharon Dowsett – Make–up

· Sophy Robson – Nails

· Emma Hardie – Skin

For the fourth year, retailer John Lewis is InStyle’s partner for the awards, with the reader-voted John Lewis Ultimate Beauty Icon award going to Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.

InStyle editor Eilidh MacAskill says: “InStyle readers are beauty geeks and eagerly await Best Beauty Buys, knowing they’re the only awards judged by industry experts.  They use Best Beauty Buys year-round to guide their beauty purchases so it’s no wonder the awards are such a highlight on the beauty industry calendar.”

To celebrate the awards, partner John Lewis will be hosting an InStyle Best Beauty Buys reader event at its Oxford Street store on 28 February. Those attending will be treated to expert advice, bubbly and a Best Beauty Buys goodie bag.

InStyle’s Best Beauty Buys supplement appears with the March issue of the magazine, on sale from 31 January.
