IPC SOUTHBANK SCOOPS THREE WINS AT 2011 BSME AWARDS

IPC Southbank was the big winner at last night's BSME Awards, with three of its editors walking away with major accolades.
Look's
Ali Hall was named Editor of the Year, Women's Magazines (weekly or fortnightly);
Jules Barton-Breck of
Essentials took the accolade for Editor of the Year, Women's Magazines (monthly or less frequent); and
Wallpaper's
Tony Chambers was presented with the award for Editor of the Year, Lifestyle Magazines.
In addition,
Kate Stephens of
www.look.co.uk was Highly Commended for The Fiona Macpherson New Editor of the Year award.
IPC Southbank managing director Jackie Newcombe says: "To win three awards is just amazing and so well deserved - from Wallpaper* to Essentials to Look, the winners reflected the breadth of Southbank's offering and the quality of work we produce across every sector."
Judges credited
Essentials for its 'significant innovations' and bold, brave approach; described
Look as 'oozing with inspiration'; and praised Wallpaper* for being a 'pioneering magazine', beautifully designed and truly innovative.
