IPC Media brands Nuts.co.uk and Goodtoknow.co.uk have secured the top position in their categories in the Experian Hitwise Top 10 Awards 2011. The awards celebrate the most successful UK websites in more than 160 categories, based on market share of UK visits a website received throughout 2011.
Nuts.co.uk is ranked number one based on market share of visits among all UK websites in the Hitwise Lifestyle-Men's Sites sector. The award marks the fourth year in succession that Nuts has taken the top slot. Goodtoknow.co.uk is once again ranked number one based on market share of visits among all UK websites in the Hitwise Lifestyle-Women's Sites sector, which also features Nowmagazine.co.uk in third place and Marieclaire.co.uk in seventh place.
Roger Cummings, publishing director, Goodtoknow says: "This is the third time that Goodtoknow has won this award, which is an incredible achievement and acknowledges the brilliant work from the editorial, marketing and technical teams. We now reach 3.2 million mainstream women every month, across six different platforms, which proves that Goodtoknow is the destination for busy, mainstream UK women and their everyday needs."
Jo Smalley, publishing director, Nuts adds: "Nuts remains the biggest multi-platform brand in men's media, with a weekly reach of 1.3 million - roughly twice the number of people who attend Premier League football matches every week. Our core strength remains our unparalleled understanding of the hardest to please audience there is - young men, and I'm delighted our brand team has turned in another winning performance for these men and the advertisers seeking to reach them."
Elsewhere in the latest Hitwise Top 10 Awards, TrustedReviews.com is ranked fifth in the News and Media-IT Media, sixth in the Computers & Internet-Electronics and sixth in the Computers & Internet-Hardware sectors. Horseandhound.co.uk is ranked third in the Lifestyle-Pets & Animals sector and Housetohome.co.uk is ranked eighth in the Lifestyle-House & Garden sector.
