IPC Media announces the appointment of Evelyn Webster, currently managing director of IPC Connect, IPC's women's weekly magazine division, as Chief Executive of IPC Media, effective 1 January 2009. Evelyn will report to Sylvia Auton, who remains Chairman of IPC Media Ltd and Executive Vice President at Time Inc. Sylvia, who will be based at Time Inc's offices in New York, joined IPC in 1977 and was appointed CEO in 2003 and EVP in 2006
