In 1999, her derriere was beamed 60ft high on to the side of the Houses of Parliament in a publicity stunt for lads' mag FHM. Now, as she approaches her 40th birthday, Gail Porter has decided to re-create that famous image to show that she¹s finally comfortable in her own skin.
In an exclusive shoot and interview she tells Now magazine: 'I finally feel really happy in my skin, so I thought: 'Why not?' I've got a lovely boyfriend who likes me whatever I look like and my daughter Honey is at an age where she just thinks it's funny that Mummy's getting her bum out. I'll be 40 next year and this is probably the last chance I'll have to get my backside out in public without getting arrested!
'I'd like to say I still have the same derriere but sadly not. I think it's a little bit wider but I don't think it's doing too badly.'
Acting editor Victoria Kennedy says: 'Now magazine is all about celebrating the female figure so we asked Gail to recreate the naked shot that was so famous in 1999. It takes a brave woman to pose nude at 39 - and draw comparisons between how her body looks now compared to when she was 28 but I think everyone will agree she looks fab.'
