IPC Classified has swept the board at the Periodicals Training Council's inaugural Top Dog sales awards, taking no fewer than four of the six consumer magazine accolades up for grabs.
Launched by the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) in association with PPA, the Top Dog Awards are the first dedicated media sales awards for our sector, and the platform to recognise the best in magazine and professional media sales.
Up against stiff competition from publishers including Hachette Filipacchi, Future Publishing, BBC Magazines and Haymarket Consumer Media, IPC Classified walked away with top prize for Classified Sales Executive, Display Sales Executive, Ad Manager and Sales Team of the Year.
The IPC roll of honour was:
• Classified Sales Executive of the Year – Amy Bowler, [classified sales exec)
• Display Sales Executive of the Year – Alexandra Wright, field sales, ignite
• Ad manager of the Year – Adele McCabe, sales manager, Equestrian classified
• Sales Team of the Year – Shooting Group Classified team
Cathy Neale, Classified group ad director, said: “Now the magazine industry knows what I have known for a long time – we have quite simply the best sales executives, managers and teams in the business. I am truly proud of their success and privileged to lead such an amazing team. To see their achievements so publicly applauded is wonderful.”
The prestigious awards were presented at a gala dinner held at the Millennium Mayfair, London earlier this week.
