IPC CONNECT APPOINTS NEW DIGITAL PUBLISHER

February 8, 2007

Paul Lomax IPC Connect – the UK's number one publisher of women's weeklies – announces today the appointment of Paul Lomax to the new role of digital publisher.

Paul joined IPC in 2001 as senior solutions developer on the re-launch of www.ybw.com, IPC's market leading yachting and boating portal, and subsequently played a major role in the development of www.NME.COM. Paul was promoted to Internet technology manager in 2002, with responsibility for IPC's Country and Leisure Media internet portfolio. He brought a number of key web properties in-house during 2003 and established the web technical team for the division. Paul has since been involved in the launch of over 30 brand websites across IPC CALM, IPC Connect, IPC SouthBank and IPC tx.

Paul says: “IPC Connect reaches over 6.5m women - women who really are actively and increasingly embracing the digital world. At the same time, the digital revolution has changed the way people use the Internet, and the opportunity to bring these two worlds together is a very exciting challenge!”

Paul will report directly to IPC Connect managing director Evelyn Webster.

Evelyn adds:” I'm delighted to welcome Paul to the Connect publishing team. There is already a raft of excellent work taking place in the digital space across Connect, and Paul's impressive track record in website development will be a great asset as we progress our digital strategy still further.”
