Horse & Hound – the world's only weekly equestrian title – is set to get even better in 2008 as it unveils a new look following six months of extensive research and development.
Since its launch in 1884, Horse & Hound has established itself as the number one equestrian brand, with a 60% market share.
The new look will see the title build on its authority and expertise, maintaining all the features readers enjoy so much, as well as introducing a raft of new content.
The magazine has a simpler, more accessible design throughout, increased news coverage, more results, expert insight and analysis. There will also be more in-depth reports, to include increased analysis and extra space for results, plus additional focus on the major equestrian events of the year.
Editor Lucy Higginson says: "We knew we wanted a new look for the magazine, but we also wanted to be absolutely sure that our changes built on all the things our readers love about Horse & Hound - our authority, scope, immediacy and topicality. That's why we spent so much time speaking to readers in the development process of this new look. We hope and believe the result is one that will be loved by both current and new Horse & Hound readers."
Publishing director Simon Hare says: "The new look is the culmination of extensive research and I'm sure readers are going to love what they see. And when the readers love a magazine, that's the best news for advertisers too.”
's new look coincides with the publication of its ever Horse & Houndpopular Show Guide issues. The pullout three-part show guide acts as the essential directory of equestrian shows and events for 2008, and is a must-read for active equestrians across every discipline throughout the UK. This year, each show guide issue is a bumper 200 pages, and part one is promoted with an exclusive Horse & Hound show planner.
The new look issue of Horse & Hound is on sale now, priced £2.30.
