NEW EDITOR FOR MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDER

Matthew Hampton Keith Foster, publishing director of IPC Inspire's cycling titles, today announces the appointment of Matthew Hampton as the new editor of Mountain Bike Rider (MBR).

A journalist with more than 10 years experience, Matthew started his career with the Daily Mail Group and has spent the past two years freelancing for a broad range of media, including news and feature writing for mainstream consumer magazines, national newspapers, websites and the trade press.

Regular outlets included Time Out and The Sun. He has also written for the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Metro, The Observer, The Dallas Morning News and The Washington Post.

Prior to freelancing, he was features and supplements editor for three years at Travel Weekly, published by RBI. He is also a keen and committed mountain biking enthusiast.

Keith says: "I am delighted that Matthew has agreed to join us and I look forward to working with him to drive MBR on to even greater success."

Matthew adds: "This is a great opportunity for me and I'm thrilled to be joining MBR and IPC Media at such a busy time. We've already talked through some exciting ideas. I'm just looking forward to getting to work and out on the trail with the best team in the mountain bike business."

Matthew takes up his new role with immediate effect.
