IPC CONNECT UNVEILS LOOK COVER PRICE AND SAMPLING DETAILS

January 23, 2007

IPC Connect, the publishing division of IPC Media behind the £18million launch of LOOK, the UK's first glossy high street fashion and celebrity style weekly, can today confirm the magazine's cover price as £1.30.

LOOK will be launched next week with one of the most comprehensive high street sampling exercises in UK publishing history. Over 1.2 million copies will be circulated across the UK, prior to the first on-sale issue hitting newsstands on Tuesday, 6 February.

The sampling will see LOOK distributed through:

  • leading supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons
  • high street retailer Marks & Spencer
  • daily free newspaper, thelondonpaper
  • WHSmith Travel and WHSmith High Street stores
  • The UK's top ten shopping malls, including Bluewater, Lakeside, Brent Cross, The Trafford Centre in Manchester, and The Bull Ring in Birmingham
The magazine will also be bagged with Now, the UK's best loved celebrity weekly, on sale Tuesday 30 January.

Evelyn Webster, managing director of IPC Connect, says: “LOOK is simply the biggest launch in the history of IPC Media. The high street fashion market has never been hotter, with today's young women living out their decade of indulgence and spending more than ever before on their weekly fashion fix. And it's entirely appropriate that we've pulled together a massive and highly sophisticated sampling programme to ensure we put the magazine directly into their hands.”

LOOK has been in creative development for over 18 months, led by editor Ali Hall and her 40-strong editorial team. It will deliver an unparalleled mix of up-to-the-minute affordable fashion, high street shopping advice, celebrity style and gossip. It will be the glossy, fast fashion fix for today's discerning young woman.
