IPC Advertising managing director Caroline McDevitt today announces the appointment of Keith Yonish, the award-winning creative director of Independent Solutions, to the new role of director of creative solutions across IPC.
Keith will take direct responsibility for all advertorial, sponsorship and special projects across IPC's weekly magazines. He will also fulfil a cross-company brief to drive creative thinking across IPC Advertising, working with the central teams to represent IPC's creative resources to our biggest advertisers.
In this new role Keith will help drive business by working in tandem with other teams within IPC Advertising - and other media owners in cross platform campaigns - to generate the most innovative and effective creative solutions for our clients. He will take direct responsibility for IPC's centralised creative ad design resource, IPC Creative, which was launched late last year.
Caroline says: “Keith has a great pedigree in successfully pulling together innovative ideas and making them happen across platforms. He will be a major new asset to the IPC Advertising senior team. His appointment to this new role - and the recent appointment of Ian Tournes to the new role of group trading director - underline IPC's on-going commitment to investing in those areas of our business where we can truly add value to our agency partners and clients.”
Keith started his career in the regional press, taking in stints on Reed International's Executive Travel Magazine and Travel News and Maxwell Contract Publishing's Exchange Contracts, before joining IPC in 1992 as senior advertising executive for the Women's Monthly Group. Keith joined the Mail on Sunday in 1995 as client/agency account executive, with responsibility for developing advertorials, sponsorships and bespoke brand extensions. In 1998 Keith joined The Independent, setting up a full service commercial projects team, since when the Creative Solutions team has won two Media Week Awards for their innovative work.
In his new role, Keith will report directly to IPC Advertising marketing and strategy director Neil Perkin.
Neil adds: "Keith's award-winning reputation makes this appointment a real coup for IPC. His sales experience and huge creativity underline our fantastic credentials in terms of creative advertising, and in this new role he will drive our potential even further."
Keith says: “Marketers are under increasing pressure to give their brands a strong identity that stands out from the clutter. The demand for creativity, fresh thinking - and most importantly innovation – was one of the attractions of coming to IPC. IPC Creative already has an amazing pool resources equipped to create and deliver dynamic communication ideas for commercial partners. There will be no limit to the creative solutions IPC can offer across its huge portfolio, alone or with other media owners.”
