IPC MEDIA PUZZLES OUT THE ANSWER FOR NESCAFE

July 19, 2006

As part of its recently announced Access All Areas initiative, IPC Media has announced an exclusive creative solutions partnership with the Nestle brand Nescafe Original.

The deal, which is worth in excess of £500,000 and runs across the August and September issues of some of the most well known and loved magazines in UK publishing, provides Nescafe with a range of unique advertorial franchises tailor made for each brand and all themed around taking a break with a cup of Nescafe and a puzzle.

Freuds and Mindshare, the agencies for Nescafe, worked together with the relevant publishing and editorial teams from each of the magazine brands to develop bespoke puzzling franchises within each title. The franchises were then created by IPC Advertising's own in-house creative team, IPC Creative.

The campaign is based around rewarding the loyalty of Nescafe Original drinkers by providing them with a fun and involving me-time puzzle experience, and the opportunity to win Nescafe-themed prizes.

The magazines involved in the campaign include What's on TV, the best-selling magazine on the UK newsstand, Pick Me Up - hosted by the magazine's own puzzle guru, Puzzlin' Paul - Chat, Woman's Own and Woman's Weekly. The campaign will also run in IPC SouthBank title Ideal Home.

The deal was brokered by IPC Creative Solutions managers Andrew Miller and Sue Valentine with Mark Pinnes at Freuds and Tom Wilkinson at MindShare.

The Access All Areas initiative has been launched by IPC Advertising to bring a broader portfolio of commercial opportunities to its clients and enable them to work closer with IPC publishing and brand teams.

Andrew Miller comments: "This is a perfect example of how Access All Areas works across IPC. No other publisher could provide the breadth of brands, the depth of editorial and publishing involvement and the power of creative solution that we have. And the Nescafe brand works perfectly in these environments - our readers love their puzzles, and by partnering with Nescafe we're delivering them more puzzling value, brought to them by their favourite coffee."
