IPC Weeklies group advertising director Kate MacKenzie today announces two key appointments to new roles across the division responsible for advertising across IPC Connect's women's weeklies brands and the IPC TX TV weeklies.
Lisa Batty is appointed head of Business Development for IPC Weeklies, leading a hugely experienced team responsible for overseeing the generation of new business across the IPC TX and IPC Connect titles and their Specials series. Lisa joins IPC Weeklies from OMD UK, where she has been associate communications planning director across brands as diverse as Emap, Bel UK, Harper Collins and AXA. Prior to joining OMD in 2001, Lisa was a senior planner/buyer at Initiative Media and brings 11 years of media planning experience to her new role.
Donia Dacey takes the role of head of Creative Solutions for IPC Weeklies, running a six-strong team developing bespoke advertising for clients looking for advertorial, sponsorship and digital solutions across the IPC weeklies portfolio. Donia joins IPC Weeklies from BBC Worldwide, where she is currently Advertising and Creative Solutions manager for BBC Youth and Children's brands, managing activity across a portfolio of 15 brands. Donia started her career at IPC, working across several divisions, after which she has developed her commercial experience across high profile brands like Yahoo!, Ministry of Sound and Worldpop.com.
Kate says: “Business Development and Creative Solutions are two hugely important divisions within IPC Weeklies, harnessing the immense potential of an iconic portfolio of weekly brands for our commercial partners. It's fantastic to be able to bring such talented and experienced individuals into the business to spearhead the next stage of development for these teams.”
