NME RADIO LAUNCHES ON LONDON DAB

May 13, 2009

NME Radio NME Radio today announces its launch on London DAB.

From today, DAB is added to the station's existing broadcast platforms – Sky, Virgin Media, Freesat and online via NME.COM.

NME Radio managing and programming director Sammy Jacob says: “Since launch we've been dedicated to making NME Radio available on as many platforms as possible making the station more accessible and relevant in an increasingly fragmented market. From today fans of cutting-edge music can listen to the station on DAB in London and we hope to announce additional platforms in future.”

The announcement comes hot on the heels of last week's RAJAR results, which saw NME Radio achieve a weekly reach of 194,000 compared with 152,000 in the previous quarter representing the greatest quarter-on-quarter percentage audience growth of any national station. Total listening hours also increased by 31% in the same quarter.

Throughout the month of May, NME Radio can also be heard on 87.7FM in Manchester.
