NME UNVEILS EDITORIAL INNOVATIONS WITH EXCLUSIVE COLDPLAY COVERMOUNT

NME today announces significant design and content changes that focus on NME's authority, expert opinion and wealth of information.
Editorial innovations brought in as part of the new look include:
- 12 Steps – NME experts delve into the mass of pub ammo facts that link the world of music together
- Roots – NME takes a modern album and traces it back to find out its roots and influences
- My Music – artists talk in-depth about the tracks and albums that they love and loathe in this incisive questionnaire
- Columns – NME writers and guest columnist each week share smart and entertaining opinion and experiences
Key developments to the existing magazine include:
- Cover – an innovative format with a super-clean layout that gives huge power to NME's iconic rock photography and further establishes NME as an essential purchase
- Radar – new band profiles tripled to give a bigger platform to new music and showcase more tracks for NME readers to instantly sample online
- Gig Guide – expanded to include more listings than ever before, delivering NME's biggest ever Gig Guide and the most comprehensive live music listings of any UK publication

The new design coincides with an exclusive partnership between Coldplay and
NME to give away a collectable seven-inch vinyl of the band's comeback single Violet Hill. The
NME seven-inch will be the only physical release of Coldplay's new single and comes with an exclusive double A-side track A Spell A Rebel Yell that will only ever appear with the
NME.
The new-look
NME goes on sale nationally on May 7.
