UNCUT LAUNCHES NEW MONTHLY CLUB NIGHTS AT THE BORDERLINE

April 16, 2008

Uncut.Apr Uncut – the UK's most authoritative music and movie magazine – has teamed up with Mean Fiddler, part of the MAMA Group, to stage monthly Club Uncut nights at London venue, The Borderline.

April 17 sees the magazine host a psych-folk double-header featuring Phosphorescent, the ghostly and compelling project of Matthew Houck, and Jana Hunter - the beguiling Houston songstress who opened last October's Uncut compilation CD.

As part of the partnership, the Uncut logo and URL www.uncut.co.uk will be featured on all live advertising and links to www.uncut.co.uk will also be used on the official Mean Fiddler website and newsletter. Uncut branding will also be displayed at the venue, including banners, magazines, and subscription offer cards.

In return, www.uncut.co.uk will feature monthly online reviews – which will also be plugged in the magazine – and monthly competitions to win tickets. Uncut's weekly email newsletter will also reference each event.

Uncut publisher James Thrower says: “Club Uncut helps further extend the reach of the brand by delivering our favourite new artists to an audience of music fans at an intimate London venue. Uncut readers will benefit from gaining exclusive access to tickets and will be first to read previews and reviews both in the magazine and online”.

MAMA Group PR manager Clair Chamberlain adds: “The partnership is a collaborative venture that makes sense to both the magazine and the venue. The Borderline has so much potential and is working to present an unrivalled programme of folk, Americana and acoustic artists who can enjoy playing to dedicated audiences in an intimate space in the heart of Soho.”
