WEB USER INTRODUCES NEW LOOK

February 2, 2006

Web User Web User – the UK's best-selling internet magazine – is unveiling a new look with its February 2 issue.

Following research carried out by the magazine last year, the new look introduces more in-depth news and practical advice.

The new look issue sees the return of the popular Consumer Champion section, designed to protect readers' rights online, helping to tackle their online shopping woes.

The Downloaded section will be redesigned and have a new full page section with free software downloads.

As part of the changes, the magazine will also introduce a new two-page franchise – Project – helping readers with larger tasks such as setting up a network. This feature will be in parts spread over a number of weeks.

Design changes include improved navigation, creating a more uniform identity throughout the magazine.

Editor Andrew Craig says: “We listened carefully to what our readers had to say and are confident that Web User now offers them more of what they want to read every fortnight.”

The new look issue is supported by a free CD Rom covermount, which features 30 easy-to-follow workshops covering subjects including browsers, email, music, photography, search and security – all written by Web User's expert technical team – and 10 essential security downloads, helping readers to get the most out of the web.

The new look issue of Web User goes on sale February 2, priced £1.95.
