Woman & Home is celebrating winning the Newcomer of the Year award at the ADmag Awards in Johannesburg.
Woman & Home is published in South Africa by the country's second-largest consumer publisher, Caxton Magazines, in association with IPC Media. The magazine has been a success story since its South African launch in April last year, beating its first ABC figure of 78,267 for January to June 2005 by more than 4000, with a current ABC figure of 82,821.
The ADmag awards are hosted and initiated by John Farquhar and his editorial team on ADvantage, South Africa's leading advertising, media and marketing journal. Every year, a panel of judges pick out ABC-certified consumer magazines that stand head and shoulders above their competitors.
Sue James, editorial director of Woman & Home, says: "What I love about working with our South African team is that they are as passionate about Woman & Home as we are here. Their readers are just like ours - they love the Brand New Attitude we all recognise in women 35+ today and I am delighted that in winning these awards this has been recognised on a global scale."
