woman&home, the monthly glossy for 40-plus women, is joining Random House, publisher of Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking, to promote both the magazine and new book in Tesco Superstore and Extra formats nationwide.
The month-long promotion offers Tesco customers £1 off the new April issue of woman&home when they buy a copy of Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking. Delia is the magazine's cover star for this issue, which also features an exclusive interview with the cooking legend.
The deal will be promoted with prominent point of sale in-store and – in a first for the magazine category – will feature in the Tesco Power Aisle, the most visited aisle in-store.
Gaynor Allen, books buying manager at Tesco, says: “We have had great success with Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking, with strong sales and market share, and a significant uplift in sales of the ingredients it features. We are delighted to be able to offer customers an additional £1 saving when they buy the book and woman&home, which reveals Delia's inspiration.”
woman&home publishing director Linda Swidenbank adds: “Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking will be an absolute must-buy so we're delighted woman&home is taking part in this promotion. The deal ties in perfectly with our Delia exclusive and I'm sure it will be really popular with Tesco customers.”
