WOMAN'S OWN IN DISNEY AND ASDA PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN OF COURAGE

April 19, 2006

Womans Own Cover IPC Connect's Woman's Own is joining forces with Disney's Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Asda to launch this year's Woman's Own Children of Courage awards.

Woman's Own will feature an exclusive flag flap on Asda copies for four consecutive issues. The bespoke flag flap will promote the launch of Woman's Own Children of Courage 2006 in association with Narnia and Asda, and will carry an exclusive Asda nomination form. At least one child nominated by an Asda shopper will make up the final 10 children who travel to London in December for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

The partnership coincides with the DVD release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Woman's Own will be displayed alongside the Narnia DVD on exclusive themed promotional units and till point displays secured by Disney across all Asda stores nationwide.

Marketing manager Ellinor Miles says: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Disney and Asda on the launch of this year's Children of Courage. The Asda nomination form is a great opportunity to increase entries and The Chronicles of Narnia has perfect synergy with the very ethos of this event.”
